Water Tight Canberra, Canberra’s reliable plumbing, drainage and gasfitting service, was founded in 2010 by Tom Martin who is the company’s owner and licensed Canberra plumber.

Our business values are customer service, honesty and integrity and we implement all 3 of these in every aspect of our plumbing business.

We specialise in fault finding, maintenance and renovations for both residential and commercial customers. We also work on small commercial fitouts and quality new build spec homes.

We only ever supply and install high quality stock and material because we know that using poor quality products will mean a shorter life span and a higher cost to the consumer in the long run.

Water Tight Canberra uses a leading job management software, Servicem8, that allows us to efficiently and accurately communicate between the office and tradespeople. Thanks to Roddy Boyd from fantastic web developers 23 Creative, when you fill in our online booking form the data is automatically entered into our job management system. Office staff load any additional safety notes or plans that may be required. The tradesman then from the work site using their mobile devices activate accurate job timers to monitor their times, upload notes with photos, update the job status and enter material used.

Our work vehicles are stocked with over 300 different items, all of which have been carefully selected as the most commonly used. Every month we stock-take our vehicles and they are restocked to the full capacity. Stock is also replaced during the month at regular intervals.  If we are out of stock for one of these items there is no travel time charged to the customer for travelling to the supplier to purchase the item.

We have a large array of advanced and high tech equipment that when required, can save the customer hours or even days of labour charges. This equipment can be used to internally inspect pipework, locate and trace pipework with a depth reading, listen to burst pipes, thermally view leaks and much more.

    I arrived at my townhouse on a Friday afternoon at about 1:30 after a week away to find that the hot water service had sprung a leak during my absence. I called Water Tight and a representative (Tom) was here within an hour. After an inspection and quotation Tom undertook to replace the HWS that day and did so with two other members of staff. I was very favourably impressed with the prompt and efficient service. I would recommend Water Tight to anyone with an urgent plumbing problem.

    I'm after a good plumber, saw lots of positive comments here and the expertise on the business website, I decided to contact them as I have regular plumbing need. First the people are not at this address, even the lady answered my call, is not here. She is somewhere in the cyber-space. This was the first thing disappointing as I was at this location at the time and keen to talk to the person doing the job. She can not answer any my inquiries, so left my number for calling back. Two days past till today I have not received the call. This makes me to think when I have drain blockage or how water blast, I really need it fixed same day .....

    My hot water system was leaking from the pressure relief valve. Initially, it was just leaking a little water occasionally, but by Saturday evening, it just kept running. On Sunday 7:30 am I rang a couple of 24-hour services, but just heard “please leave a message”. Then I rang Water Tight and spoke to Tom Martin. He said he would come immediately, and he did. He provided his advice and very professionally got the job done. It was an excellent customer service and I would recommend Water Tight to anyone.
